Tried & True

I’ve made it a habit now to search Pinterest for daily meals and suppers.  Tonight I opted for Paula Deen’s Easy Breezy Chicken Pot Pie recipe.   It was by far the easiest meal I’ve ever thrown together, making me feel a little guilty as I watched my boys gobble it down.  I used a whole, pre- cooked chicken from BJ’s ($5) making it quick, cheap and delicious!!  Tried & True

A Brand New Year

It’s the 2nd day of the new year and new resolutions are being heard everywhere. From weight loss, to healthier habits, to repairing financial woes.  These to me are also important and could be ones I would consider but after analyzing my life, or should I say “our” life, anyone would agree that getting organized should be our priority.  In this house closets, pantries, bedrooms, sock draws and every crevice in between (even my yarn stash) could use a little putting together.  This year I vow to find a place for everything and put everything in its place.  I will start at the heart of our lives, MY OFFICE!

This is where I spend most of time during the work week.  It is my work office, my family office, my craft supply room and library squeezed into this tiny 5’x4′ room so organization is key for functionality.  Being the visual person that I am, I will start by making a list of all things in this hideaway that need a home.  Pencils, paper, bills, books, knitting needles, paint, and pictures will need somewhere to hide.  Let’s begin!

What Have I Done?

Another one of my crazy antics has kicked in.  So I get this brilliant thought in my head a few weeks back that I should start a blog.  I’m a wife, a mother, a homeowner, a small business owner,  and I still feel the urge to fill my plate with more.  Not even I understand myself.  Well, this is a new journey for me as I am not very technically inclined making this entire blog thing a whole new learning experience.  I’ve been told that along with the blog come sleepless nights, hurt feelings and some serious constructive criticism.   I’m up for the challenge as I find it will bring me pleasure and comfort in being able to share some of my favorite recipes and projects as well as new adventures that I find along the way.  When it gets too crazy, I’ll just make waffles.
